I have recentley asked friends "Who have we borrowed the 'National debt' from?" One person said we borrow from the IMF. I asked "Where do they thet they money from?" The answer was "they get their money from the contributing counties." I.E. it seems that we give money to the IMF and then borrow it back at a rate of interest. Is this correct?
